Not going to a Christmas Market in Switzerland would be on a par with not eating chocolate in Switzerland. The markets are very traditional, popular and simply well worth a visit. With over 40 Christmas markets from east to west and north to south, there are plenty of possibilities. Typically Swiss Tours recommends Bern, Basel, Brienz, Wolhusen, Luzern, Montreux and Zurich. Check out the hand made arts and crafts, the home made offerings and the latest fad for this year.
On a cold winters day in December, while you are walking around the market stalls, you probably need some hot gluhwein to keep you going and perhaps a bratwurst or some raclette cheese and bread.
Typically Swiss Tours will drive you and your group to a Christmas Market of your choice and then show you some other local interesting sites in the area.
Cost 1-3pax 850chf.
