TRIP ADVISOR REVIEW

My wife and I contacted Chris to explore the possibility of a private tour of Switzerland from Basel, through Lucerne, to Zurich over two days in late September, 2023. Basel was our destination point from a Rhine River Cruise, and through some genealogical research done earlier, my mother’s family came from an area between Basel and Lucerne, so we asked Chris to take us to the Emmental valley area not too far from Bern. Chris’s knowledge of the area laid the foundation for a wonderful trip through both the Swiss countyside and the birthplace of my mother’s family. Chris has an amazing wealth of resources that helped us thoroughly enjoy both aspects of the trip. He was instrumental in helping me connect with a genealogical expert in the area of my mother’s family and the expert has agreed to help me with my quest. Chris also took us to many places where we had the chance to have the Swiss experience, like the Kambly cookie factory, a stop at the Studer distillery, a ride on the Cabrio at Sanserhorn to see the Alps, a waterfalls, a funicular ride and a cruise across Lake Brienz from the Grandhotel Giessbach, as well as a stop at the Burkenstock Hotel and Alpine Spa. The views from the Alps he provided were spectacular, and we really enjoyed standing near a pasture listening to the spellbinding bell concerts that the nearby herd of cows provided.

My wife and I are seasoned travelers, and the vacation experience that Chris provided was one of the best tours we’ve ever experienced. Chris is the friend you wish you had to take you around the country he adopted and loves.
