A MORE DETAILED LOOK
Select between world-famous cheese factories in Emmental and Gruyere or a local supplier in Seelisberg or Engelberg and compliment this with a visit to a famous chocolate factory.
World renowned names such as Lindt in Zürich, Maison Cailler near Gruyere, Laderach and Maestrani in East Switzerland and a local producer Aeschbach in Luzern await your visit.
For the Gruyere and Maison Cailler tour, we will leave earlier than usual to allow for distance and depending on where we set off from we will take in Bern or Spiez.
If it`s the world famous Lindt chocolate you are after, then we head to Zürich. A short tour in Switzerland`s largest city is more than possible before heading off to the Engelberg or Seelisberg cheese dairies.
For the Luzern version, we will head off to the Aeschbach chocolate factory, where one can experience the interactive and self guided chocoworld tour and design and make your own 200gram chocolate bar. Visit the Vineyards near Zug and go early for the cheese production at Fluher Cheese near Luzern,
TRIP ADVISOR REVIEW
Awesome Bespoke Experience
June 26
We had the most amazing day with Chris! Before our tour, we realized that trying to fit Bern, Gruyères, and cheese, chocolate, and wine tastings into a single day from Lucerne would be too much. Chris worked with us to create the perfect itinerary, making sure we got the most out of every stop without ever feeling rushed.
From the moment we met him, Chris was incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely fun to spend the day with. He kept us laughing, shared fascinating history and local insights, and went out of his way to get to know each of us. It never felt like we were just another group—he took the time to understand what we were most interested in and tailored the day accordingly.
We loved exploring Bern on foot, enjoyed a wonderful lunch, and even got lucky enough to see the famous bears. The visit to Gruyères was unforgettable, and the cheese and chocolate experiences were great additions to our wonderful trip to Switzerland.
Chris didn’t just show us Switzerland—he helped us experience it. Spending the day with him felt more like exploring with a knowledgeable friend than taking a guided tour. If you’re considering a tour with TST, don’t hesitate to book with Chris. It was one of the absolute highlights of our vacation, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat.
