8) Mt.Jungfrau, Top of Europe Tour

Visit one of the “must sees” in the Swiss Alps and  journey to the highest train station in Europe as your train winds itself through kilometres of tunnel.  At the top, check out the jaw dropping views of the Alps and in particular the Alestch glacier, one of the longest in Europe

 

A MORE DETAILED LOOK

This is one for the adventurers and surely a Swiss highlights – a trip to the “Top of Europe” Jungfrau. Listed by UNESCO as “World Heritage Site of the Swiss Alps” it is home to Europe’s highest train station (3500 m) and many other attractions! 

We`ll drive you most likely through picturesque villages of Lungern and Sachseln and then over the Brunig Pass stopping for some breathtaking pictures of Lake Lungern (one of Switzerland`s iconice photo stops).

Arriving in the Oberlands, there will be time to visit either a gorge (Rosenlaui or Aare) and a waterfall (Giessbach, Reichenbach, Staubbach or Trümmelbach) before heading to one of the jewels in Switzerland – Jungfrau.

Trains leave from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunen to the Kleine Scheidegg and then the final journey to the summit. Travellers will be taken aback with the awesome views of the 3 Pearly whites of Monch, Eiger and Jungfrau and provide with the best views of Switzerland.

Arriving at Europe`s highest train station, enjoy a plethora of amazing activities from the Sphinx Observation tower to views of the Aletsch Glacier to the Ice Tunnels
