Private Multi-Day Tours in Switzerland
Discover Switzerland Your Way
No two travellers are the same — and neither are our tours.
Every itinerary is thoughtfully designed around your interests, travel style and the experiences you’d most like to enjoy during your time in Switzerland.
From breathtaking alpine scenery and charming villages to scenic train rides, crystal-clear lakes and hidden local gems, your journey through Switzerland will be entirely your own.
Whether you’re visiting for 2 days or up to 14 days, I’ll help create an unforgettable Swiss adventure that makes the very best use of your time.
Simply tell us what you’d love to experience, and I’ll take care of designing the perfect itinerary for your Swiss adventure.
Flexible Itineraries
One of the greatest advantages of a private multi-day tour is the flexibility.
Rather than returning to the same hotel every evening, many guests choose to travel through different regions of Switzerland, spending one or two nights in each location. This reduces driving time and allows you to experience much more of the country.
A typical itinerary might look like this:
- 2 nights in Lucerne
- 2 nights in the Bernese Oberland
- 2 nights in Zermatt
- 2 nights in Montreux
Of course, every itinerary is completely customised and can include any region of Switzerland, depending on your interests and the time available.
Private Transportation
Smaller groups usually travel in my luxury Mercedes V-Class for 4-5 passengers depending on luggage.
For larger groups, we can arrange a larger vehicle. Depending on luggage, groups of around 10 guests can usually travel comfortably. If required, even larger vehicles can also be arranged.
Accommodation
Typically Swiss Tours does not book hotel accommodation.
However, I am always happy to recommend hotels that suit your travel style, budget and itinerary, allowing you to choose and book the accommodation that best fits your needs.
Pricing
Multi-day tours are based on our standard daily tour rates.
The price for your first day is determined by your chosen pick-up location. Each additional day is then charged according to the location where the tour begins that morning.
For groups requiring a larger vehicle (generally more than five guests), we’ll be happy to prepare a personalised quotation.
For tours requiring overnight stays, an additional guide accommodation fee will apply. This will always be clearly included in your personalised quotation.
Your Journey Includes
Your private multi-day tour includes:
- A personalised itinerary designed around your interests
- A dedicated private guide and driver throughout your journey
- Luxury private transportation
- Flexible daily scheduling
- Pick-up and drop-off according to your itinerary
- Assistance with planning your route and recommending hotel locations
- Local knowledge, insider tips and recommendations throughout your trip
- Complimentary bottled water throughout your journey
- A little Swiss chocolate to enjoy along the way
- A truly personalised Swiss travel experience
Additional Costs
To give you complete flexibility, some expenses are paid directly by you during your journey. These typically include:
- Hotel accommodation
- Meals and refreshments
- Mountain railways, cable cars and gondolas
- Boat and train tickets
- Museum and attraction entrance fees
- Personal purchases and souvenirs
This allows you the freedom to choose the hotels, restaurants and experiences that best match your own interests, travel style and budget.
Your Switzerland, Your Way
Whether you’re dreaming of spectacular mountain scenery, charming villages, scenic drives, hiking, photography, chocolate, cheese, wine, luxury experiences or simply discovering the authentic Switzerland, I’ll create a journey that’s designed entirely around you.
It’s often the little details that turn a great trip into an unforgettable experience.
Tell us how many days you’d like to spend in Switzerland, how many people are travelling and what you’d love to experience.
I’ll create a personalised itinerary and quotation designed especially for you.
This allows you the freedom to choose the hotels, restaurants and experiences that best match your own interests, travel style and budget.
A MULTI-DAY TOUR
This Multi-day Tour has been booked several times by clients and is simply a good example of the many highlights you can visit in a small number of days which in this case include Zurich, Luzern, the Oberlands and the Matterhorn.
Day 1 Arrive and be picked up at Zurich Airport. Drive to the Rhinefalls, Europe’s largest Waterfalls and experience the water crashing down over the falls. Take an optional boat ride to get closer and feel the spray of the water. Drive onto Schaffhausen and the 16th Century Munot Fortress overlooking the town, before an optional walk into the pedestrianised centre. After a 20 minute drive along the Rhine, we visit the Stein am Rhein, a picturesque quaint medieval town, known for its painted half-timbered facades, Rathausplatz square, and Castle Hohenklingen. After a stroll through the town (and an ice cream) and a possible Castle visit, we make our way back to Zurich for a city tour and/or a Lindt Chocolate Factory visit
Accommodation in Zurich (or Luzern)
Day 2 Start your journey by travelling to Luzern and visiting Hergiswil Glassworks to see this 200 year old craft tradition taking place and blow your own glass Kugel if you wish. Journey onto the 140 year old Burgenstock resort for some breath-taking views of Lake Luzern and history. Enjoy a leisurley lunch at one of several restaurants. Add in a potential, cheese chocolate, wine or pen-knife making experience and take in a 2 hour walking tour of the town including the Lion Monument, the Old Town, Jesuit Church and Wooden Bridge.
Accommodation in Luzern
Day 3 Take a full day excursion to one of the Mountains that surround Luzern. Choose between Mt Rigi, Titlis, Stanserhorn, Pilatus and Stoos. Some involve a boat trip across the lake. These trips will provide you with breath-taking views via railways and cable cars and some hiking opportunities if you wish.
Accommodation in Luzern
Day 4 Journey to the Bernese Oberlands with a stop at Lake Lungern for views of this turqoise lake. Visit and walk through the stunning Aare Gorge to be picked up at the other side and journeying onto the famous Giessbach Falls and the walk under the watrerfall and spectacular views of Lake Brienz. Enjoy a lovely lunch here before heading to Brienz for a stroll around this centuries old town including a stop at the local woodcarving shop and a chat with a woodcarver. We head east to Interlaken to see the Paragliders land and a spot of shopping. Last part of the day is spent in the Lauterbrunnen or Grindelwald areas and visiting the Trummelbach Falls or a small cable car ride to Sulwald for some awesome views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
Accommodation in Interlaken
Day 5 Spend another day in the Oberlands region and possibly do a paraglide or another activity or make a trip to the capital Bern
Accommodation in Interlaken
Day 6 Start your journey to Zermatt and make stops at Oeschinensee or the Blausee for magical views of these lakes. Take in either a walk at the most beautiful bay in Europe at Spiez on Lake Thun and visit the castle before heading off and taking the Car Transporter to Goppelstein and onto Tasch for the Shuttle to Zermatt.
Accomodation in Zermatt
Day 7 Take the train to Gornergrat to hopefully see the most famous mountain in Switzerland – the Matterhorn. Walk some of the way down to explore this scenic mountain village.
Accommodation in Zermatt
Day 8 – Make your way back to Zurich Airport for a flight out that afternoon or spend the night there for a flight the following morning
A MULTI-DAY TOUR REVIEW
Swiss adventure 2026 including Luzern, Interlaken, Zermatt and surrounding areas
Chris is an excellent tour guide and gracious host. He is knowledgeable, professional, and shared his passion for the beauty and adventure of Switzerland with us in a most welcoming manner. He was particularly accommodating to our time schedule, and his laid-back personality coupled with his extensive familiarity with the area made for a most enjoyable excursion during the week we spent with him.
From our initial contact with Chris in August, 2025, via email and then via Whatsapp video chat, he helped us plan a varied and exciting tour which we then executed with him in May, 2026. Chris has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking to explore Switzerland.
