17) The South Plus Interlaken multi-day Tour

Luzern – Andermatt – Zermatt – Interlaken – Luzern – 4 overnight stays

Day 1 Your journey starts heading south passing through Hergiswil with a possible stop at the Glass factory, then progressing onto Burgenstock to see modern and old traditions side by side, walk along the Felsenweg to the 153metre tall Hammetschwand Lift offering superb views of Lake Luzern. Motoring on we stop for a late lunch at Altdorf and visit the place where the legend has it that William Tell shot the arrow from his son`s head.

Day 2 After an overnight stop in Andermatt we motor on via the Furka Pass to Gletsch taking in the stunning views and the Rhone Glacier, before landing in Brig for a break before driving onto Tasch to catch the train to traffic free Zermatt, the home of the Matterhorn. A hotel (2or 3) in central Zermatt is your resting place.

Day 3 In the morning, choose either from gondolas and other mountain rides providing you easy access to the Gornergrat, the Rothorn or the Klein-Matterhorn from where you enjoy magnificent views of the Matterhorn and other surrounding peaks, and in summer, these mountains offer some of the world’s best hiking opportunities.

Day 4 After a second night in Zermatt to fully appreciate this wonderful place, we journey onto Interlaken for some more mountain adventures. Chose between a leisurely day in the town or venture up the Jungfrau or First Mountain.

Day 5 Then after a night in the Interlaken Hotel, we set off Luzern with optional stops at Ballenberg, the Geissbach or Reichenbach Falls, Aare Gorge and Brienz before arriving back in Luzern around dinner time
